Network & web gateway logs

The signal that catches AI tools used with a personal login (not your single sign-on) — because it watches traffic, not logins. Upload a DNS, proxy, or secure-web-gateway log and we surface the AI domains in it.

  1. Export a log or "top domains" report from your gateway / DNS filter.
  2. In govn.ai: Shadow AI → Connections → Network / web gateway → choose the file → Import log.

What works: Cisco Umbrella, Zscaler, Netskope, Cloudflare Gateway, NextDNS / Pi-hole, or any log with a destination/domain/URL column. We aggregate by domain and surface only AI tools — the rest of your traffic is scanned but not stored. The result toast shows, e.g., "scanned 4,210 domains · surfaced 18 AI."

Limits: CSV, up to 10 MB. Very large raw logs are sampled to the first 50,000 rows — for big estates, export a top-domains report instead of raw logs.

Privacy: because this is network monitoring, treat it as employee monitoring under UK GDPR — see Privacy & data handling for discovery.
